IslandLuxe Resorts represents boutique, private, luxury resorts in the Caribbean and Bermuda. As an islander herself – born and raised on the idyllic island of Bermuda – owner Karen Bull has always been drawn to places that are brimming with local personality – true to the land upon which they proudly reside. Being in the travel business for the past 25 years, she has learned of, read about and experienced many resorts first-hand, but few have the spirit and attitude that a property must possess to become part of our collection – IslandLuxe, Places of Personality.

The Challenge:

Owner Karen Bull is her brand – her personality draws people in and she knows the Caribbean islands and her collection of resorts better than anyone. 

But in the midst of a rising digital transformation process across all industries, IslandLuxe needed to find new ways to connect with both travel advisors, who book these resorts for their clients, as well as travelers themselves without being in person. So the challenge was to design, create and implement a digital presence that allowed the company to showcase its collection of resorts, share industry news and updates, communicate directly with clients and advisors, and host webinars covering a variety of luxury travel topics.

The Solution & Process:

More and more, people are not only looking for, but also expect to find, the information they want and need online. For IslandLuxe, this meant making in-person informational seminars, mailers, brochures and more easily available on various digital platforms.

So, here's what we did:

  • Created and implemented a comprehensive Social Media and Marketing Strategy Guide.

  • Designed, created and implemented a new, fresh website with features that could support our efforts and goals.

  • Created online, downloadable version of the annual brochure that includes information about each property, including features, rates and more.

  • Created and populated a blog to share new property announcements, resort updates and news, industry updates and news and more.

  • Designed and implemented new webinar series and Facebook Live series covering a variety of popular luxury travel topics for travel advisors to learn about each property and ask any questions geared toward Karen or the resort owner.

  • Revamped social media presence and content across all relevant platforms.

  • Created and implemented new email newsletter strategy.

  • Implemented new resort video series.
